Little angel
When God calls little children
to dwell with him above
we mortals sometimes question
the nature of his love
For NO heartache compare
to the death of one small child
who does so much to make our world seem
so beautiful and mild
Perhaps God tires of calling the aged of his fold
so he picks a rosebud
before it can grow old
He knows how much we need them
and so he takes very few
to make the land of heaven
more beautiful to view
Believing this is difficult
still somehow we must try
The saddest word mankind knows
will ALWAYS be "goodbye"
So when a child departs
we who are left behind
must realize God loves children
because Guardian Angels are hard to find

What Makes a Mother
I thought of you and closed my eyes
And prayed to God today.
I asked what makes a Mother
And I know I heard him say.
A Mother has a baby
This we know is true.
But God can you be a Mother
When your baby's not with you?
Yes, you can He replied
With confidence in His voice
I give many women babies
When they leave is not their choice.
Some I send for a lifetime
And others for a day.
And some I send to feel your womb
But there's no need to stay
I just don't understand this, God
I want my baby here
He took a breath and cleared His throat
And then I saw a tear.
I wish I could show you
What your child is doing today.
If you could see your child smile
With other children and say
"We go to earth to learn our lessons
Of love and life and fear.
My Mommy loved me oh so much
I got to come straight here.
I feel so lucky to have a Mom
Who had so much love for me
I learned my lesson very quickly
My mommy set me free.
I miss my Mommy oh so much
But I visit her each day.
When she goes to sleep
On her pillow's where I lay.
I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek
And whisper in her ear.
Mommy don't be sad today
I'm your baby and I'm here."
So you see my dear sweet one
Your children are ok
Your babies are here in My home
And this is where they'll stay.
They'll wait for you with Me
Until your lesson is through.
And on the day that you come home
They'll be at the gates for you.
So now you see what makes a Mother
LETTER FROM HEAVEN
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say
But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay
I'm writing this from heaven, Where I dwell with God above
there's no more tears of sadness; Here, is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight,
Remember that I am with you every morning, noon, and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me> and He said, "I welcome you."
"It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone,
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly, you are part of my plan,
There's so much that we have to do to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do
And foremost on my list is to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight,
God and I are closest to you, in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all of those missed years,
Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain,
Remember there would be no flowers unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned,
But if I were to tell you that, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain though my life on earth is o'er,
I'm closer to you now than ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead and many hills to climb,
But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
There is a very wise philosophy and I'd like to share it with you,
That as you give unto the world, the world will give unto you.
If you can help somebody who is in sorrow and pain,
Then you can say to God at night, "My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented, that my life is worthwhile,
Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
Just lend them your hand to picked them up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street and you've got me on your mind,
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go, for your soul to be set free,
Remember you're not going, You're coming home to me.

Earthbound Angels
Occasionally,
we are graced with the presence
of an earhbound angel.
They are unable to stay with us for long,
But while they do they bring unprecedented
joy and happiness to all they touch.
While they are here, we bask in their goodness
And marvel at their contribution to the world.
When they leave, We are left with the devastation of losing such a wonderful human being...
But We Must Remember...
The Earthbound Angels are not ours to keep.
They are ours to enjoy, learn from
And behold until they return Home.
Then we Behold them in our heart
'til we return Home,
To be with them Forever.
